The Short Story: The Blue Jays scored two first-half goals to earn the Centennial Conference Tournament Championship over Dickinson on Sunday afternoon.
How it Happened
• Johns Hopkins struck first in the 24th minute, as
Riley O'Toole drew a foul inside the box, setting up a penalty kick for
Emily Maheras. Maheras calmly slotted her 14
th goal of the season, giving Hopkins a 1-0 lead.

Maggie Coulson made it 2-0 with just over 10 minutes to play in the first half. Taking a free kick from just outside the box, Coulson rocketed one into the bottom left corner of the net for a 2-0 Blue Jays lead.
• Dickinson had a great look with less than 10 minutes remaining to try and narrow the deficit, but a strong punch from
Caitlin Hendricks and some help from her defense kept the ball out of the net and the shutout intact.
• The defense was outstanding all weekend, going the full 180 minutes without allowing a goal. Hendricks made six more saves, earning another clean sheet.
What it Means
• The Blue Jays have won their 12
th all-time Centennial Tournament Championship and 14th overall.
• Hopkins has won their last three conference championships on the road.
• JHU earns an auto-bid into the NCAA Tournament. The selection show will take place tomorrow at 1 p.m.
• The Centennial Conference Tournament has been held at Dickinson three times. Johns Hopkins has won the title in all three of those years.
