CoSIDA Academic All-District Volleyball Team

BALTIMORE, MD – For the third time in her career, senior Louisa Kishton was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for District II. With the honor, Kishton is now only the second three-time Academic All-District selection in Johns Hopkins volleyball history (Allison Cappelaere, 2007-09).

To be eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA, be a sophomore or above and play a significant role on he or she's respective team.

A Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering major, the senior outside hitter sports a 3.97 grade point average and was selected as one of the seven All-District honorees for District II, which represents all Division III schools in Connecticut, Washington D.C., Delaware, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia.

Outside of the court and classroom, Kishton has also interned at Nirmidas Biotech where she designed, performed and analyzed experiments. She was also a team leader as Camp Galileo: Innovation Camps for Kids and has coached middle school volleyball.

Kishton will now go on the ballot for CoSIDA Academic All-America honors and look to repeat as an Academic All-American after being named a Third Team selection in 2018. It was the first time a Blue Jay had ever been named a CoSIDA Academic All-American. The team will be announced on December 12.
