The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins women's swimming team totaled six individual NCAA B cuts and added one in a relay to highlight the Blue Jays' efforts on day two of the Big Al Invitational at Princeton University.

Top Finishers
• Three of the six individual NCAA B cuts the Blue Jays posted on Saturday evening game in the 400 IM, the first event of the night.Â
Kate Overbey clocked in at 4:26.65 in the B Final, while
Elaine Lipkin's time of 4:25.86 was good for second in the C Final.Â
Sydney Okubo added a time of 4:27.86 to place fourth in the C Final and all three times met the NCAA B standard.

Rebecca Ssengonzi touched home in 56.40 in the 100 Fly to slip just under the NCAA B cut standard of 56.58. She had bettered that mark in the morning prelims with a time of 56.23.
• In the 200 Free, it was
Sophia Girgenti adding her name to the NCAA qualifying list as she won the D Final with a time of 1:50.92.

Cecilia Cortez qualified for the B Final in the 100 Back, where she placed fourth with a time of 56.22 to meet the NCAA B standard and give Hopkins its sixth and final individual qualifying mark of day two.
• The Blue Jays closed the second day of competition with an eighth-place finish in the 800 Free Relay. The team of Lipkin, Girgenti,
Emma McElrath and
Michelle Wang clocked in a 7:29.05, a mark that is more than 10 seconds under the NCAA B standard of 7:39.30.

• The Blue Jays will wrap up the first half of the 2019-20 season on Sunday, December 8 as they compete on the final day of the Big Al Invitational at Princeton. Prelims will take place at 10 am with finals scheduled to begin at 6 pm.
