How it Happened
Despite leading by as many as 14, the Blue Jays were unable to come away victorious, dropping an overtime thriller to Haverford, 67-60.

Megan Furch scored 15 of her game-high 17 in the fourth quarter and overtime to lead the Fords to the comeback victory on Tuesday night. Haverford outscored Hopkins 9-2 during the overtime period, knocking down five of their six free throws.Â
Lyndsey Hoyd was fouled with 2.3 seconds remaining and knocked down three free throws to put the Blue Jays up 58-56. After a timeout, Nyla Robinson found Furch on a well executed inbounds play to send the game to the extra period.Â

The Blue Jays hit four three-pointers in the first quarter, jumping out to a 19-15 lead after one period. Hoyd scored eight of her 11 points in the first quarter to help build an early lead for Hopkins. Raina Gully hit a three-pointer with 2:11 left in the half to give the Fords a 26-24 lead.
Emily Howie hit a three with 33 seconds left in the half to put the Blue Jays back on top and
Aleah Spruell followed with another triple right before the buzzer to put Hopkins up 30-26 at the break.Â
JHU ripped off a 10-0 run to start the third period, spanning the first 5:30 of the second half. A Howie layup with just under four the play in the period put the Blue Jays up by 14, their biggest lead of the game. Haverford hit three triples and a layup over the next two minutes, cutting the Hopkins lead to 44-39 with 1:30 left in the third.Â

Halie Egan hit a jumper at the 7:30 mark of the fourth period to put Hopkins up by 10, but a furious rally from the Fords ensued. Haverford outscored Hopkins 17-7 over the next seven plus minutes to send the game to the extra period.Â
