• Navy swept the doubles matches to grab the early 1-0 lead in the match. Amanda Cyr and Miranda Deng opened with a 6-0 win over junior
Anjie Kashyap and senior
Sophia Strickland at first doubles. Danika Kahatapitiya and Irene Norman followed with a close 6-4 win over freshman
Anjali Devireddy and junior
Margo Gerke at third. Brooke Bogdanovich and Tina Li wrapped up doubles with a 6-3 defeat of sophomore
Evelyn Chang and freshman
Emily Javedan.
• Aimee Dervish picked up the first singles point to put the Mids up 2-0 when she beat Devireddy 6-1, 6-1 at third. Deng followed with a 6-2, 6-3 win at fifth over Javedan. Chang grabbed a point for the Blue Jays when she defeated Cyr 6-1, 0-6, 6-3 at fourth.
• Kahatapitiya then defeated junior
Dhanya Asokumar 6-2, 2-6, 6-0 at sixth. Bogdanovich rallied to defeat Strickland 3-6, 6-4, 6-0 at second and Katreina Corpuz closed out the match with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Kashyap at first.
