COLORADO SPRINGS – Nine members of the Johns Hopkins women's swim team have been named to the 2020 College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team.
 
Earning CSCAA Scholar All-America honors are seniors Sonia Lin and Alison Shapiro, juniors Mikayla Bisignani and Emma McElrath, sophomores Sophia Girgenti and Sydney Okubo and freshmen Cecilia Cortez, Renee Liu and Kate Overbey.
 
Bisignani, Lin and McElrath earn CSCAA Scholar All-America honors for the third time. Girgenti, Okubo and Shapiro are two-time selections while Cortez, Liu and Overbey earn the honor for the first time. The CSCAA Scholar All-America award recognizes students who achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and were invited to compete at their respective national championship. Selections were drawn from 209 colleges and universities.
