How it Happened
SET ONE
• Portale got things going early on, registering her first of 13 kills to put Hopkins up 2-0.
Eleni Panagopoulos followed her lead to put the Jays up 3-0. Portale had the next two kills for the Jays, giving them leads of 4-1 and 5-4.Â
• After Haverford tied things up at 5-5, Hopkins ripped off a 4-0 run, started by a
Natalie Aston kill.
Elayna Williams added one of her own before a pair of Haverford attack errors made it a 9-5 game.Â
• Hopkins extened the lead to 14-7 after another 4-0 run. Aston,
Danielle Norman and Panagopoulos registered kills for the Jays. JHU took its biggest lead of the set, 17-8, after another Portale kill. However, the Fords took the next six points to make it a set. Kendall Otridge had three kills on the run for Haverford.Â
• Haverford stormed all the way back to take the lead, 20-19, after another 4-0 run. Taylor Jones had a kill and two aces, including one to put the Fords ahead.Â

Lauren Anthony sandwiched kills around a trio of attack errors to give JHU a 25-20 first set win.Â
Â
SET TWO
• The second set was, quite frankly, a nightmare for the Fords. Already on a six-point run from the end of the first set, the Blue Jays took the first 14 points of the set! Aston, the server for the run, picked up six aces as the Jays went up 14-0. Portale added four kills during the stretch as well.Â
• Portale's fifth kill of the set put JHU up 15-1 and her sixth put Hopkins up 17-5. Williams tossed in three more kills as the Blue Jays took set three 25-7.Â
Â
SET THREE
• The Fords picked things back up in the third set and put up a fight against the Jays, taking a 5-3 lead after back-to-back service aces from Juliet Young. Norman picked up a kill and an ace in response and put Hopkins back on top 6-5.Â
• Down 9-8, Williams tied it with another kill while
Evelyn Batista followed with an ace to retake the lead for JHU. After a back-and-forth that saw the Fords take a 15-14 lead, Hopkins scored five straight to put an end to the threat. Anthony, Williams and Portale all added kills after a pair of attack errors for the Fords.Â
• The Blue Jays won the final three points of the set, getting blocks from Aston, Anthony and Panagopoulos to take a 25-18 set win.Â
MATCH 2

How it Happened
SET ONE

Arcadia proceeded to rip off its best run of the day, taking an 11-6 lead. Michelle Frank registered a pair of aces and Katie Paoli and Danielle Fedorchak picked up kills during the run. The Jays cut the deficit to 12-10, but Arcadia had another run in them.Â
• A Haylee Harper kill put the Jays down 19-13 and in peril of dropping the first set, but a Portale kill sparked a 5-0 run and the Jays cut the deficit to 19-18. Down 20-18, JHU took the final seven points for a 25-20 set win. Williams, Norman and Anthony had kills during the run while Batista picked up a pair of aces.Â

Virag Murphy all had kills en route to a 7-3 Hopkins lead. Leading 7-5, Hopkins took the next 10 points for a 17-5 lead. Norman had three kills during the run, while Aston added two and
Brooklyn Pater picked up one.Â
