The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's soccer team scored a goal in each half to shutout visiting Muhlenberg, 2-0, and secure the top seed in the upcoming Centennial Conference Tournament.

How it Happened
• Hopkins struck first after freshman
Ian Whamond was taken down in the Muhlenberg box in the 30
th minute. Senior
Liam Creedon took the penalty kick for the Blue Jays and buried the shot for what turned out to be the game-winner.
• Graduate student
Nate Charendoff nearly gave the Blue Jays a two-goal lead in the 40
th minute but is shot hit the post.
• Muhlenberg had a chance to tie in the 56
th minute off the head of Taylan Akdag, but graduate student
Xander LeFevre was there to make the save.
• Sophomore
Aidan Dunphy then pushed the Blue Jays' lead to two in the 59
th minute. He dribbled deep into the Mules' end and looked to pass the ball, but a Muhlenberg defender cut it off. The ball ricocheted right back to Dunphy, who one-timed a shot past Zach Matik from 16 yards out.

What it Means
• Hopkins improves to 21-12-4 all-time against Muhlenberg and earns its fifth straight win in the series.
• The Blue Jays secure the regular season Centennial Conference crown and the number one seed in the tournament with the win.
