Hopkins Drops Regular Season Finale, 2-0, at Franklin & Marshall

Blue Jays Seeded First in Upcoming Centennial Tournament

The Basics
• Score: #16 Franklin & Marshall-2 • #23 Johns Hopkins-0
• Records: #16 F&M (14-2-1, 6-2-1 CC) • #23 JHU (11-3-2, 7-2 CC)
• Location: Lancaster, PA • Tylus Field
• The Short Story: Host Franklin & Marshall scored twice in the final 20 minutes to slip past visiting Johns Hopkins in Centennial Conference men's soccer action Saturday evening.

How it Happened
• A scoreless first half saw both teams take six shots, but neither team could break through in the opening 45 minutes.

• The Diplomats nearly took a 1-0 lead in the 57th minute, but a Connor Anderko offering found the crossbar instead of the net and the Blue Jay defense cleared to keep the game scoreless.

• F&M finally broke through in the 70th minute when Isaac Mintz and Koa Kaliebe ran a perfect give-and-go with Kaliebe breaking the ice with his second goal of the season.

• The Diplomats would get the insurance goal they needed in the 87th minute when Oscar Horwitz capitalized on a Blue Jay giveaway to net his second of the season as well.

What it Means
