• The Short Story: The Blue Jays used a balanced attack, hitting .371 on offense while utilizing a plethora of players en route to a 3-0 sweep on Centennial foe, Ursinus.
How it Happened
SET ONE
• One set was all the majority of the Blue Jay starters got against the Bears. After falling behind 4-1, the Jays outscored Ursinus 25-10 to pick up a set one win.
•
Eleni Panagopoulos picked up a kill, followed by an
Evelyn Batista ace and a Ursinus attack error to knot the first set up at 4-4.
• The Bears took an 8-5 lead after a setter error on the Batista, but the Jays took five of the next six to take a 10-9 lead.
• The Bears continued to battle with the top-ranked Jays, taking a 13-11 lead on a
Danielle Norman attack error, but JHU responded with six straight, getting three kills from
Elayna Williams, a kill from Norman and a kill from Portale, giving Hopkins a 17-13 lead.
• The Blue Jays took the final eight points of the set to win it 25-14. A pair of aces from Batista and kills from Williams and Norman helped put it away for Hopkins.

SET TWO
•Â
Matt Troy was able to experiment with some different lineups, starting in set two. The Blue Jay reserves had no trouble with Ursinus, taking the set 25-14.
• After falling behind 5-4 on a Caroline Sherman kill, Hopkins took six straight points, led by a service run from
Roxy Karrer. The Bears could not get in system off of Karrer's well-placed serves, totaling two attack errors and a setter error while allowing a pair of aces for the freshman.

Chidinma Onukwugha earned three points for Hopkins in a four-point span, giving Hopkins a 19-11 lead. The middle blocker picked up a pair of kills and added an ace for good measure.
• Hopkins took five of the final six points, getting another ace from Karrer, a pair of kills from Norman and a kill from
Virag Murphy.

SET THREE
• Three different Jays picked up a kill in the first three points of set three. Karrer, Onukwugha and Pam Chiakpo registered kills to tie things at 3-3 early.
• Leading 7-5,
Adalee Lynch connected on a set from
Annelisa O'Neal to extend the Hopkins lead to three.
• With
Lida King serving, the Jays extended the lead to 15-7. King picked up a pair of aces and Williams slammed home a kill for Hopkins.
• The Jays used a final big run to extend the lead from 18-12 to 24-12 before ultimately finishing off the sweep with a 25-13 set win. O'Neal had a pair of aces to make it 21-12 while
Brooklyn Pater had three kills in the final four points of the match to end it for Hopkins.

• Location: Baltimore, MD – Goldfarb Gymnasium
• The Short Story: The Blue Jays defeated Washington & Lee in three sets before honoring their seniors and recent graduates in a post-game ceremony.
How it Happened
SET ONE
• The Blue Jays trailed throughout the early parts of set one before earning 12 of 14 points after a
Matt Troy timeout. The Jays went on to win the set 25-18.
• The Jays fell behind 5-2 early on, getting out of sync on offense early with four attack errors. A Sydney Heifner kill for the Generals pushed W&L ahead 7-3.
• Now trailing 10-6, Hopkins won four straight points with a
Danielle Norman kill and a trio of General attack errors for a 10-10 tie. W&L won five of the next six points, forcing Troy to take a timeout.
• Out of the timeout,
Sydney Portale added a pair of kills,
Elayna Williams picked up a kill and
Danielle Norman chipped in with a service ace to take a 16-15 lead.
• The Generals took the next two points, but the Jays ripped off a 7-0 run.
Eleni Panagopoulos, Williams and Portale added a kill each while
Evelyn Batista had a pair of aces during the run. Williams picked up back-to-back kills to end the set with a 25-18 win.
SET TWO
• In set two, the Jays wasted no time getting out to a early lead.
Natalie Aston and Norman each had aces and Portale added another kill to run out to a 6-1 lead.
• A 3-0 run made it 10-5 Blue Jays before the Generals answered with three straight of their own. An Avery Myers kills cut the Jays lead to 12-11, but Hopkins went on another short burst to take a 16-11 lead.
• Up 19-15, Hopkins took the final six points of the set, getting kills from Portale and Anthony to end the set with a 25-15 win.
SET THREE
• The Generals raced out to an early 8-2 lead, trying to extend the match to a fourth set.
• Portale added two kills while Anthony chipped in with one to cut the deficit down to two. Sydney Heifner added a kill for W&L, but Hopkins took the next five points. Anthony added another kill,
Roxy Karrer picked up an ace and Williams put down three more kills for the Jays to take an 11-9 lead.
• With a 14-12 lead, the Blue Jays put it out of reach with a 7-0 run. Aston registered a kill and an ace on back-to-back points to make it 16-12. Norman added a pair of kills and Aston picked up two more aces during the run. Williams added two more kills and it ended as a 25-14 set win for the Jays, ending the match on a 23-6 run.
What it Means
• The streak is now 54! The Jays have moved up both the all-time and Division III lists with a pair of wins today. They now own the fifth-longest win streak in NCAA Women's Volleyball history and the third-longest in Division III.
Inside The Box Score
• Williams (11) and Portale (10) hit double figures in kills for the Jays. Williams earned a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs.
• Norman (14), Batista (11) and Williams (10) all hit double digits on the defensive side. Panagopoulos (6) and Aston (4) were outstanding at the net for JHU.
