Hopkins Comes From Behind to Beat Penn State Harrisburg, 2-1

The Basics
• Score: #25 Johns Hopkins-2, #20 Penn State Harrisburg-1
• Records: JHU (12-4-2) • PSH (15-2-1)
• Location: University Heights, OH • Don Shula Stadium
• The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's soccer team fell behind early, but rallied to beat 20th-ranked Penn State Harrisburg, 2-1, on Saturday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

How it Happened
• The Lions got on the board in the sixth minute with a goal from Daniel Fombu. Jose Palomeque sent the ball into the box from the right touchline. Joey Aman flicked the ball on and Fombu ran onto it and poked it home from about six yards out.
• The Blue Jays answered just over 10 minutes later to draw level at one. Junior Axel Whamond cut back on his defender and then lofted the ball into the box, where graduate student Nate Charendoff, with his back to the goal, headed it past Nicholas Guglielmetti in the 16th minute.
• Hopkins then got what turned out to be the game-winner in the 88th minute. A Penn State Harrisburg defender attempted to clear the ball, but it went right to senior Liam Creedon. He trapped the ball and then volleyed a right-footed shot just under the crossbar from about 30 yards out to give Hopkins its first lead.
