Conner Delaney has been named a 2021-22 Preseason All-American by D3hoops.com.
Delaney was named an All-American by both the National Basketball Coaches Association (First Team) and D3hoops.com (Third Team) in 2020 after leading the Blue Jays to a 24-4 record, the Centennial Conference Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance. He was also named the Centennial Conference and Middle Atlantic Player of the Year.
Delaney averaged 17.5 points, 4.9 assists and 1.6 steals and is the first true point guard in JHU history to lead the team in all three categories. He led the Centennial Conference in points (490), assists (136), field goals (179) and field goal attempts (373). He also ranked second in free throw attempts (129), third in steals (46) and fourth in free throws (87) and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.0).
Delaney's 136 assists in 2019-20 are the fourth most in school single-season history and are the most since Dave Eikenberg dished 145 helpers in the 1990-91 season. He also posted the fifth most points, field goal attempts and field goals in school history. He scored 20 or more points 14 times that season and tied his career-high with 32 points in the Centennial Conference Championship game.

th in steals (101), 17
th in free throw attempts (302), 19
th in three-point attempts (243) and three-pointers (83) and 20
th in free throws (206). In addition, he needs just nine points to rank 20
th in school history in scoring.
Hopkins is set to open the season on Sunday, November 7 at Christopher Newport. Tip-off at the Freeman Center is slated for 4:00 pm.
