Blue Jay Men The Favorite To Win Centennial XC Crown

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins earned five of a possible eight first-place votes to edge out Haverford as the favorites to win a third Centennial Conference Cross Country title.

The Blue Jay men dominated the 2019 Centennial Championship to earn the crown for the first time since 2013. Hopkins just edged out Haverford atop the 2021 preseason poll. The Fords earned the remaining four first-place votes, finishing just two points behind JHU with 59. Dickinson (50), Swarthmore (42) and Gettysburg (31) round out the top-five of the nine-team league.

After losing out on the 2020 season, Bobby Van Allen's bunch will look to build off of what was the best year in program history.

2019 saw the Blue Jays earn their first individual champion in Jared Pangallozzi, while Van Allen earned his second career Coach of the Year award. Johns Hopkins finished fifth at NCAA's, improving on their best ever finish of eighth from 2016.
