NEW ORLEANS – The Johns Hopkins men's cross country team has earned a top-15 ranking in the 2021 Preseason National Coaches' Poll it was announced yesterday. The Jays slot into the 13
th spot in the poll, earning 220 points.
Head Coach
Bobby Van Allen's squad is the top-ranked team in the Mid-Atlantic Region and will have a large amount of turnover from 2019, their last season of competition.
Patrick Dye is the lone returner from 2019's top-seven where he placed 81
st at NCAA's in Louisville. Van Allen's team earned the best finish in program history, placing fifth in 2019.
The 2021 season will open on Wednesday, September 1
st in Timonium, MD with the Johns Hopkins Kickoff Invitational.
