Â
How it Happened
• Chances were limited in the first half but the game took a turn in the 40

Xander LeFevre snagged the shot to keep the Eagles off the board.
• LeFevre opened the second half with three straight saves in a two-minute span to keep the game scoreless. The Blue Jays then capitalized off a corner kick to take a 1-0 lead. Senior
Liam Creedon's corner kick was headed away by a Mary Washington defender. Freshman
Jacob Hammond ran onto the rebound and volleyed a shot from about 25 yards out into the middle of the goal in the 53
rd minute.
• The Eagles turned up the pressure and fired nine shots, including several point-blank opportunities, over the final 33 minutes but LeFevre turned them all away.
