The Short Story: Senior
Liam Creedon scored what turned out to be the game's only goal in the 14
th minute in Hopkins 1-0 win over Mary Baldwin in the final game of the UMW Classic.
Â
How it Happened
After taking a short pass off a goal kick, a Mary Baldwin defender played the ball up field. But Creedon stepped in front of the pass, took several dribbles and then buried a shot inside the bottom right corner from about 25 yards out.
Hopkins would continue to harass Squirrels' goalie Obdulio Argueta all day, firing nine shots on target, but Creedon's goal would stand as the only one in the contest.
