Quarry Earns Second Centennial Conference Player of the Week Honor

BALTIMORE, MD – For the second time this season, Johns Hopkins men's basketball senior Tom Quarry has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week.
 
Quarry helped 12th-ranked Hopkins (9-1, 5-0 CC) to a pair of wins in the Blue Jays' first game action in more than a month. He averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.0 block while shooting 76.9% from the field, including 77.8% from downtown. Quarry scored 24 points (7-9 FG, 5-7 3FG, 5-6 FT), grabbed four boards, handed out two assists and had two steals in the win over Dickinson. He followed that with nine points (3-4 FG, 2-2 3FG, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, one helper and two blocks at Haverford.
 
Quarry ranks second on the team in scoring (15.1), second in blocks (0.7) and sixth in rebounds (4.1). He also leads team in three-point percentage (.441) and free throw percentage (.905).
 
Hopkins returns to action tonight as the Blue Jays host 16th-ranked Swarthmore in a top-20 Centennial Conference showdown. Tip-off at Goldfarb Gym is slated for 7:00 pm.
