Conner Delaney has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week. This is his first weekly conference honor of the season and second of his career.
Delaney averaged 19.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game to lead Hopkins to a pair of double-digit wins last week. He scored 24 points and handed out five assists to go with a rebound and a steal in a 17-point win at Franklin & Marshall. Delaney followed that with 15 points, three rebounds, eight assists and two steals in a 20-point win over Muhlenberg. For the week, he shot 50 percent from the floor, 57.1 percent from three and 81.8 percent from the free throw line.
Delaney leads the Centennial Conference with 19.8 points per game, free throws (65) and assists (69). He also ranks second in field goals (94) and three-point field goals (44).
Hopkins (13-2, 9-1 CC) returns to action on Thursday as the Blue Jays visit the Gettysburg Bullets. Tip-off at Bream Gymnasium is slated for 7:00 pm.
