WILLIAMSBURG, VA – The Johns Hopkins women's swim team hit the road again on Saturday and battled Division I foe William & Mary. The host Tribe earned a 189.5-71.5 win over the Blue Jays.

Kristen Alicea-Jorgensen with a dominant sprint performance, the women vastly improved over last week! We have been putting our focus at practice on intentional training and making sure we are having fun and embracing the process. Two more weeks of hard work and then we will see how we can stack up in a prelims-finals invitational format!"
Hopkins opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay. Senior

Alex Watson followed with second and third-place finishes in the 200 Free. Han clocked in at 1:54.65 while Watson finished in 1:55.67.

Cameron Roche led the Blue Jays in the 100 Back as she placed fourth in 1:00.33. Rohovit then took third place in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:08.01. Davis followed with a fourth-place finish in the 200 Fly in 2:11.15. Alicea-Jorgensen then grabbed a win in the 50 Free as she beat the field with a 24.23. Freshman
Alia Basler finished in third place as she clocked in at 25.09.
Sophomore
Michelle Liu placed second in the 100 Free as she finished in 53.21 while Watson took third in 53.76. Junior
Makenzie Higgins took second in the 200 Back with a 2:08.38, while Roche took third in 2:08.89. Rohovit finished in a tie for second in the 200 Breast as she touched in 2:25.72. Senior
Kate Overbey finished in fourth with a time of 2:28.23.
Sophomore
Meg Susil then placed third in the 500 Free with a time of 5:10.68. Davis finished in third place in the 100 Fly in 58.92. Freshman
Rachel Davis then took third in the 200 IM with a 2:12.16. Hopkins closed out the day with second and fourth-place finishes in the 200 Free Relay. Liu, senior

The Blue Jays return to the pool in two weeks for the annual Thomas Murphy Invitational. The meet is scheduled for October 28-30 at nearby Loyola University.
