ALLENTOWN, PA – The fifth-ranked Johns Hopkins men's soccer team rallied to tie host Muhlenberg, 2-2, in Centennial Conference action Saturday night.

Tim Treinen played a long ball into the Mules' end, where sophomore
Ian Whamond collected it. He dribbled into the box and made a short pass to junior
Tyler White, who took one touch and then slotted a low shot into the right side of the goal in the 13
th minute.
Muhlenberg answered just five minutes later, capitalizing on a free kick. Taylan Akdag took the free kick for the Mules, about 35 yards from goal, and sent the ball near the far post. Greyson King was there to head it inside the post to tie the game.
The Mules then grabbed the lead in the 39
th minute when Eli Khalil intercepted a Blue Jay pass deep in their own end. He took several touches and then slipped a pass to Luke Feeney, who buried a shot to the left post. It was the first time this season the Blue Jays had trailed in a game.
The Jays battled back and tied the game in the 70
th minute on a
Scotty Coleman goal. Whamond struck the free kick near the Mules' bench and sent the ball into the middle of the box. Coleman headed the ball through the hands of Ben Mulford and into the right side of the goal.
Graduate student
Alex Morgret finished with one save and Mulford also made one save. Hopkins had advantages in shots (10-4) and corners (4-0).
Hopkins closes out the regular season on Saturday, October 29 against Franklin & Marshall. The game is slated for a 12:00 pm start at Homewood Field.
