NEW YORK, NY – The Johns Hopkins women's swim team picked up four wins on Saturday in a dual-meet loss at NYU. Sophomore
Kristin Cornish led the Blue Jays with a pair of wins.
Hopkins kicked off the day with a third and fourth-place finishes in the 200 Medley Relay. Junior

Kristen Alicea-Jorgensen finished in 1:48.41, just seven-hundredths of a second behind NYU. Junior

Sophia Girgenti took fourth in 1:52.28.
Cornish then grabbed the first of her two wins as she paced the field with a swim of 10:16.16 in the 1000 Free. Sophomore
Meg Susil finished in third place as she clocked in at 10:34.68. Freshman
Claire Han followed with a win in the 200 Free and a time of 1:53.80. Liu placed third as she touched in 1:55.34.
Higgins led the Blue Jays in the 100 Back with a time of 59.56. Sophomore
Taylor Rohovit and Chelus then went two-three in the 100 Breast. Rohovit clocked in a 1:07.45, followed by Chelus in 1:07.77. Davis followed with a third-place finish in the 200 Fly as she finished in 2:08.81.
Alicea-Jorgensen then took second place in the 50 Free as she touched the wall in 24.21. Hopkins picked up win number three, again in the freestyle, as the Blue Jays took first and second in the 100. Liu grabbed the win in 53.32 and beat Han by just two-hundredths of a second.
Higgins followed with a third-place finish in the 200 Back as she swam a 2:07.11. Roche followed in fourth place and a time of 2:08.59. Chelus took third place in the 200 Breast in 2:26.03, followed by Rohovit in fourth place (2:27.09).
Cornish picked up her second win of the meet as she clocked in at 5:02.97 in the 500 Free. Susil finished in fourth place with a time of 5:14.27. Davis then placed second in the 100 Fly in 58.59, while Basler placed fourth in 1:01.51. Freshman
Rachel Davis finished in second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:13.93. Rohovit followed in fourth place in 2:16.23.
The Blue Jays wrapped up the day with second and fourth-place finishes in the 400 Free Relay. Girgenti, Han, Alicea-Jorgensen and Liu combined for a time of 3:36.40 for second place. Susil, senior

Hopkins wraps up the fall portion of its schedule in two weeks at the Denison Invitational. The Three-day meet kicks off on Thursday, December 1 in Granville, OH.
