• The Short Story: Four players scored in double figures to lead the 12th-ranked Johns Hopkins men's basketball team to a 77-61 win over host Washington College Wednesday night.

How it Happened
• Trailing 6-4 early, senior Braeden Johnson gave the Blue Jays the lead with a three-pointer. That bucket sparked a 17-3 run, that spanned just over four minutes, and saw six different players score. Junior Carson James capped the run with a basket in the paint to put Hopkins on top 21-9 with 11:15 to play in the half.
• A Jason Zielinski triple cut the lead back to single digits but the Blue Jays answered with six straight points. The Shoremen responded with six unanswered of their own and Hopkins led 27-18 at the 7:13-mark. The teams swapped scores over the final seven minutes of the half and Hopkins took a 39-28 lead into the break.
• Precieux Tshibangu and Dilyn Backer opened the second with back-to-back buckets to pull Washington College within seven. Graduate student Conner Delaney and senior Tom Quarry sandwiched three-pointers around a Sam Corrao jumper and the Blue Jays' lead was 11.
• After trading buckets, Hopkins led 47-38 with 14:53 to play in the game. Johnson drained a triple to push the lead back to double-digits and ignite a quick 10-2 run that saw the Blue Jays' lead swell to 17 just four minutes later. That run would seal the win for Hopkins as Washington College could get no closer than 13 over the final 11 minutes.
