Conner Delaney has been named a First Team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for the second straight season.
One of the most decorated players in program history, Delaney becomes the first player to earn All-America honors twice. Earlier this season, he was named the Region V and Centennial Conference Player of the Year. This season, he led the conference in points (495), assists (118), assist-to-turnover ratio (2.5) and three-pointers (74). He also ranked second in free throw attempts (148), free throws made (109) and field goals made (156). Nationally, Delaney ranks 31
st in assist-to-turnover ratio and 42
nd in three-pointers. He scored 20 or more points 20 times this season, including three games of 30 or more.
Delaney's name is all over the Hopkins' record book as he ranks in the top-10 in school history in assists (1st / 407), assist-to-turnover ratio (3rd / 1.93), steals (3rd / 144), points (4th / 1,436), free throw attempts (4th / 450), free throws (4th / 415), field goal attempts (6th / 1,088), three point attempts (6th / 461), minutes played (8th / 2,829), field goals (9th / 482) and three-pointers (9th/ 157). He also ranks 18th in defensive rebounds with 296 defensive rebounds.
