The Short Story: Senior
Elaine Lipkin broke her own school record in the 400 IM to lead the Johns Hopkins women's swim team on day two of the NCAA Championships. The Blue Jays are in 10
th place with 82.50 points and sit 12.5 points behind ninth-place Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
200 Free Relay
Hopkins opened the night by finishing in a tie for fifth place in the 200 Free Relay. Freshman

Kristen Alicea-Jorgensen finished in 1:33.31 for the fifth fastest time in program history.
400 IM
Lipkin then turned in her record-breaking swim as she finished in second place in the consolation final of the 400 IM. She dropped 1.2 seconds off her prelim time and finished just three-hundredths of a second out of first place. She also broke her own school record by seven-hundredths of a second. Her 10
th place finish overall is the best by a Blue Jay in the 400 IM since Theda Benja-Athon placed fifth in 2000.
200 Free
Freshman
Kristin Cornish finished in a tie for fifth in the consolation final of the 200 Free. She clocked in with a time of 1:51.68 in the final. Liu placed eighth in the consolation final as she touched in 1:52.69. Her prelim time of 1:51.19 is a career best.
400 Medley Relay
The Blue Jays wrapped up day two of the championships with a third-place finish in the consolation final of the 400 Medley Relay. Senior
Sydney Okubo, freshman
Taylor Rohovit, junior
Emerson Davis and Girgenti finished in 3:47.25. Girgenti anchored the relay with a 51.04 – the second fastest split in the final leg.
