How it Happened
• The Flying Dutchmen scored five before the Blue Jays crossed home plate, scoring in the first, fourth, fifth and sixth innings. Kainan Bayn drove in a run in the first with an RBI single after a one-out double from Evan Maday. In the fourth inning, McRae got a ground ball to short with runners on first and second. Dylan Whitney fielded and made the flip to Jack Pausic for an out at second, but the throw from Pausic skipped past Jared deFaria, allowing Robbie Stuursma to score on the play for a 2-0 lead. In the fifth inning, Maday brought in another run with an RBI triple and scored on a wild pitch. The Flying Dutchmen took a 5-0 lead in the sixth, scoring on another wild pitch.

• The Jays got on the board in the bottom of the sixth inning, finally capitalizing on an offensive opportunity. Pausic laced a double to left field to open up the inning against Hope reliever, Graham O'Gorman. Matthew Cooper flew out to center, moving Pausic up to third on the tag. Jack Walters flipped a single into right field, scoring Pausic and getting the Jays on the board.

• With Jack Tarantino on the bump for the Jays, Hope pushed four across the plate in the seventh inning, all with two outs. Andrew Gilpin hit an RBI double, Spencer Cable hit a two-run single, and Maday added another RBI with a single.

• The Jays came to life for three runs in the bottom of the inning. Jimmy Stevens was hit by a pitch to open the frame. With one out, Stevens moved up on a wild pitch and scored on an error by Cable. deFaria singled through the left side, putting runners on first and second. Pausic singled, bringing home AJ King and two batters later deFaria scored on a passed ball to make it a 9-4 game.

• Hope scored four more in the eighth before the Jays added their final run of the contest. Noah Clement hit a triple, his first hit as a Blue Jay, and scored on a wild pitch to make it 13-5.
