BALTIMORE, MD – Three members of the Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse team have been named to the Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-America teams it was announced yesterday. Fifth-year seniors
Shelby Harrison and
Jeanne Kachris and senior
Annika Meyer were named to the Honorable Mention team.
Harrison leads the Blue Jays in goals (24), free position goals (9) and draws (42) and is second in points (25). She ranks seventh in the Big Ten in draws per game (3.82) and is the Hopkins' all-time career draws leader with 278. She carries nine-game point and goal-scoring streaks into Saturday's game versus eighth-ranked Maryland.
Kachris leads Hopkins with 21 caused turnovers, one shy of her career high, and is also tied for second in ground balls (21). She ranks second in the conference in caused turnovers per game (1.91) and is eighth in ground balls per game (1.91). Kachris is seventh in program history in caused turnovers (75) and 16
th in ground balls (113).
Meyer is JHU's leader in ground balls (24) and ranks fifth in the Big Ten with 2.27 ground balls per game. She is also second on the team with 13 caused turnovers. Meyer ranks 14
th in JHU history with 59 caused turnovers and is 19
th with 102 ground balls.
