Abbey Hurlbrink scored with 1:58 to play in overtime to lift the 22
nd-ranked Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse team to an 11-10 win at Towson Wednesday night.

How it Happened
• Hopkins jumped out to a 5-2 lead with goals from five different players. Sophomore
Jordan Carr opening the scoring when she took a pass from junior
Bailey Cheetham in the slot and beat Carly Merlo to the left post at 11:39. Just 39 seconds later, Blaire Pearre answered for Towson on a high-to-low shot to tie the score.
• Hurlbrink put the Blue Jays back on top at 9:59 scoring stick-side low from the right alley. Cheetham then scooped up a loose ball and scored over the top of Merlo to make it 3-1. Lindsay Clarke pulled the Tigers back within one with an unassisted tally. Fifth-year

Alayna Costa answered with back-to-back goals just 22 seconds apart to stake Hopkins to a 5-2 lead.
• The Tigers responded with a four-goal run, in the span of just 92 seconds, to take a 6-5 lead. Pearre capped the run with 2:09 to play to give Towson its first lead of the game. Harrison won the ensuing draw and carried into the zone before passing to a trailing
Madison McPherson, who scored on the run to tie the game after one.
• Harrison put the Blue Jays back on top at the 12:20-mark in the second, scoring on a sidearm shot off the dodge. The pace slowed from there and neither team scored again until Harrison cashed in on a free position shot with 3:04 to play in the quarter.
• Pearre and Kerri Thornton scored about six minutes apart for the Tigers to knot the score at eight with 7:29 to play in the third. Junior

Keegan Barger, who scored on a quick-stick from the right alley, to put JHU up 9-8 after three.
• The fourth started just like the third, with a pair of Towson goals and the Tigers took a 10-9 lead on Kaitlin Thornton's goal with 8:08 to play. Harrison would tie the game with just 1:06 on the clock when she converted her third free position goal of the game. Â

Kathleen Garvey made a pair of saves in overtime before Hurlbrink dodged the middle of the fan and picked the bottom left corner to give the Blue Jays the win.

What it Means
• Hopkins improves to 16-11 all-time against Towson and has won two straight over the Tigers.

• Harrison finished with a game-high four goals and five points, while also controlling three draws. This is her fourth game of the season with multiple free position goals and she is the first Blue Jay to score three in a game since 2018.
• Barker (2a), Cheetham (1g, 1a) and Hurlbrink (2g) also had multi-point games for the Blue Jays. Junior
Haleigh Moore tied her career high with three caused turnovers to go with two ground balls and a draw control. Senior
Annika Meyer also had a pair of caused turnovers while Cheetham had a game and career-high-tying four ground balls.
• Garvey finished with 10 saves, her fourth double-digit save performance in the last seven games. She also notched her 300
th career save to become just the sixth player in school Division I history to do so.
• Pearre led the Tigers with three goals, while Thornton (2g, 1a) and Clarke (1g, 1a) also had multiple points. Pearre also had a game-high eight draw controls. Merlo finished with nine saves in the loss for Towson.
