Harrison and Kachris Earn IWLCA All-Region Honors

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins fifth-years Shelby Harrison and Jeanne Kachris have been named to the IWLCA All-Mid-Atlantic Second Team it was announced today. The pair earn all-region honors for the second time in their career.
 
Hopkins has now produced 103 IWLCA All-Region selections, including 79 under head coach Janine Tucker. At least one Blue Jay has earned IWLCA All-Mid-Atlantic honors since 2003. In fact, the Blue Jays have had at least two all-region selections 16 times in the last 18 seasons (no post-season honors in 2020).
 
Harrison, who earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors earlier this month, leads the Blue Jays with a career-high 40 goals and 43 points. She also has a team-best 17 free position goals and 57 draws. She ranks third in the Big Ten in free position goals per game (0.94), ninth in goals per game (2.22) and 10th in draws per game (3.17). Harrison carries point and goal-scoring streaks of 16 games into the NCAA Tournament. She is the program's all-time leader with 293 career draw controls.
 
Kachris adds all-region honors to her First Team All-Big Ten selection this season. She leads the Blue Jays and ranks second in the Big Ten and 28th in the nation with a career-high 29 caused turnovers. She also ranks second on the team with a career-high-tying 32 ground balls. Kachris is Hopkins' active leader with 83 career caused turnovers and 124 ground balls. She and Harrison recently tied the program record for career games played (77).
