A Look Back
« Johns Hopkins posted 10-2 record and claimed a share of the Centennial Conference title for a league-record 15th time in 2021. JHU finished 8-1 in the Centennial and shared the title with Muhlenberg.
« The Blue Jays earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Playoffs and went on the road and knocked off 11th-ranked Salisbury, 45-20, in the first round. The Blue Jays then dropped a 45-35 decision at fourth-ranked Mount Union in the second round.

Fourth of Five
« This week's game at Case Western is the first of two straight the Blue Jays will play on the road to open the 2022 season.
« Dating back to last season, this week's game is also the fourth straight on the road for the Blue Jays, who ended the 2021 season with three straight on the road. Hopkins closed the 2021 regular season at McDaniel, then played at Salisbury and at Mount Union in the NCAA Playoffs.
« The five-game run of road games, which will be capped with a game at Ursinus next week, is the longest for Johns Hopkins since the Blue Jays played a remarkable seven straight games away from home between the 2009 and 2010 seasons.

« The eight AAA selections for the football team were part of a haul of 25 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans Johns Hopkins produced across all of its athletic programs in 2021-22 ... the 25 are a school record for one year and give Johns Hopkins 43 in the last two years.
