Both Blue Jays Teams Sit on Top of the Championship Standings After Day One

In the Standings

  • After the first day of action the Johns Hopkins women hold a commanding lead in the standings with 117 points obtained throughout the events during the first day.
  • The men are also on top of the standings after day one, as they hold a 13 point lead on Ursinus.

Meet Highlights

Women

  • Johns Hopkins took 27 points in the the triple jump with Victoria Kadiri, Sara Bartlett and Sophie Nilsson coming away with the top three spots.
  • In the Pole Vault, JHU took the top five spots in the event. Taryn Silvernale, Miayunique South and Cassidy Brown all earned medals in the event.
  • JHU had Stephanie Brown and Triya Roy finish in the top two spots in the 5000-meter run. Cooper Brotherton also earned five points for the team score with a fourth place finish.
  • The Blue Jays 4x800 relay team came away with a first place finish with a time of 9:29.39, which is a new school record. The runners were Kathleen Saussy, Lily Sheth, Lorna Accese and Harrinee Senthilkumar.
  • The Blue Jays earned eight points in the Pentathlon with the performance of Jaclyn Donoho who came away with 2816 points. She came in first place in the 60-meter hurdles, high jump, and 800-meter.

Men

  • The Blue Jays had an amazing showing the the 5000-meter with Gavin McElhennon and Emmanuel Leblond coming in the top two spots. Matt Sandifer also finished in fourth place.
  • Peter Lim came away with a first place finish in the Pole Vault with a mark of 4.24 meters to earn 10 points in the standings.
  • Ethan Oluwole set a new season PR in the triple jump with a mark of 13.65m to earn eight points for the team.
  • In the 4000 DMR, the Blue Jays came away with second place finish with a time of 10:05.36. They ran with Arthur Beyer, Joshua Lee, Fisayo Omonije and Daniel Chen.

The Blue Jays will look to claim the conference titles tomorrow at F&M.
