The Johns Hopkins track and field teams participated in another national qualifier this weekend as they continue to make a final push to have some national qualifiers for the DIII Championships at the end of the month.
Meet Highlights
- Connor Oiler topped the previous freshman record in the steeplechase that he set earlier this year with a PR time of 9:09.03. Oiler's time was the second best performance in school history. Charlie Teeter and Jonas Larson became top 10 performers in school history with times of 9:16.45 and 9:27.44 respectively.
- Lauren Phillips competed in the 400 and came away with a third place finish with a time of 55.68. Her time was the second best performance in school history, only behind her own time earlier this season.
- Daniel Chen ran to a PR time of 3:49.50 in the 1500 to come just in front of his teammate, Arthur Beyer, who finished with a time of 3:49.88. Chen's time was the fifth best performance in program history.
- Emmanuel Leblond cracked the top 10 performances list for the second time this season in the 10K. Leblond came in fourth place with a time of 30:48.62.
- Gavin McElhennon had a solid run in the 5K, clocking in at 14:21.40. His time was good for the third best performance in program history. McElhennon now holds five of the top 10 performances in school history, including the school record.
