LANCASTER, PA – The Johns Hopkins volleyball team received all ten possible first-place votes in the Centennial Conference Preseason Coaches Poll released earlier this morning, beating out the likes of Franklin & Marshall and Swarthmore as the favorites to finish atop the conference standings. The Jays are a perfect 36-0 across regular season and playoff conference play since head coach
Matt Troy's return to the helm in 2019, and will look to remain unblemished in the upcoming season as they search for the program's tenth Centennial Conference Championship.
Hopkins returns nearly every player from a roster that reached the Elite Eight a season ago, headlined by 2022 Rookie of the Year and All-American Honorable Mention

Roxy Karrer and
Alice Yu, as well a host of veterans including incoming graduate transfer
Grace Reininga.
The Jays took the top spot in the preseason poll with 100 points, while Franklin & Marshall (89) and Swarthmore (84) rounded out the top three. Hopkins will put themselves to the test early with matches against top-ranked Juniata and third-ranked Claremont Mudd-Scripps in the opening two weekends, with conference play set to start September 30 against Ursinus.
