John Windley has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week it was announced today. This is the second time this season he has earned the honor.
Windley led Johns Hopkins to a 3-0 week, including a pair of road wins, with 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. He shot 58.3 percent from the field, including 58.8 percent from downtown, for the week.
Windley opened the week with 17 points, eight rebounds, one assist and two steals in a 72-56 win at Mary Washington. He then scored 20 points, going 8-of-11 from the field, and 3-of-4 from three, to go with seven rebounds, four assists and one block in a 13-point win over McDaniel. Windley closed the week by scoring a career-high 26 points, while also grabbing five rebounds, handing out two assists and swiping two steals in an 83-70 win at Ursinus.
Windley leads the Blue Jays with 15.4 points per game and is third in rebounding with 5.1 per game. He is shooting 48.2 percent from the field and 44.0 percent from three-point.
Hopkins returns to action on Wednesday, January 31 as the Blue Jays visit the Gettysburg Bullets.
