John Windley has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week it was announced this morning. This is the first weekly conference honor of his career. Windley is also the first Blue Jay to earn CC Player of the Week honors since
Carson James on January 31, 2023.
Windley led Johns Hopkins to a 2-0 week after a four-week break for the holidays. He averaged 15 points, seven rebounds and two assists per game while shooting 57.1 percent from the field and 55 percent from three-point range.
Windley scored a team-high 17 points and grabbed six rebounds to go with two assists and one steal in a 72-53 win over Rochester. He then scored 13 points, pulled a game-high eight rebounds and handed out two assists in a 91-58 win over Ursinus Saturday afternoon. Windley leads the Blue Jays with 14.0 points per game and is third with 5.0 rebounds per game.
Hopkins returns to action on Tuesday night as the Blue Jays visit the Dickinson Red Devils. Tip-off at the Kline Center is slated for 8:00 pm.
