Ian Whamond scored the game's only goal to lift Johns Hopkins to a win over McDaniel Wednesday afternoon in Centennial Conference action. The Blue Jays improve to 6-2-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the conference, while the Green Terror fall to 5-3-1 overall and 2-1-0 in the CC.

th minute as Hopkins snapped McDaniel's four-game win streak. Junior
Javi Ordonez controlled the ball in the middle of the field before passing out wide to classmate
Will Andrus. He settled the ball about 30 yards out and then played the ball into Whamond, who headed it inside the left post.
McDaniel had a chance to draw level in the 64
th minute after a foul in the box gave the Green Terror a penalty kick, but the ensuing shot sailed over the bar. The Blue Jays nearly added an insurance goal with a shot by graduate student
Jack Mendrysa from in-tight, but his shot rocked off the left post.
Sophomore
Simon Turner got the start in goal and was not forced to make a save in earning his first career shutout. Tate Roth finished with three saves in the loss for the Green Terror. Hopkins finished with a 16-3 advantage in shots and a 4-1 edge in corners.
Hopkins returns to action on Saturday, October 5 as the Blue Jays visit the 19
th-ranked Swarthmore Garnet. The Centennial Conference contest is scheduled for a 7:00 pm start.
