Francis Meyer scored the game-winner in the 78
th minute to lead 17
th-ranked Johns Hopkins to a 1-0 win over Washington College. The Blue Jays improve 9-3-3 overall and 5-1-1 in the Centennial Conference. The Shoremen, who had their five-game win streak snapped, fall to 8-3-4 overall and 4-2-1 in the conference.

th minute when senior
Jonathan Cui was fouled in the box. Meyer then stepped to the spot and beat Anthony Pinto to put the Blue Jays up 1-0. The Shoremen were able to get just two shots off in the final 12 minutes, with sophomore
Simon Turner making a save at the buzzer to seal the win.
Turner finished with the one save, while Pinto made two in the loss for the Shoremen. Washington College finished with a 6-5 edge in shots and a 3-1 advantage in corners.
Hopkins clinched a berth in the Centennial Conference Tournament with the win. The Blue Jays are currently tied for first in the conference with 16 points but own the tiebreaker with the F&M Diplomats.
JHU returns to action on Saturday, October 26 as the Blue Jays travel to Haverford. The Centennial Conference contest is scheduled for a 3:00 pm start.
