LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins volleyball's
Simone Adam has once again been named the Centennial Conference's Offensive Player of the Week, as released by the conference this morning. This is the junior's fourth recognition in six weeks as she continues her dominant start to the 2024 campaign.
Adam led the way on the attacking side in a 2-0 weekend for the Blue Jays (15-2, 1-0 Centennial), averaging 4.50 points and 4.17 kills per set while finishing with a team-best .512 hitting percentage. In Hopkins' Centennial Conference opener against Ursinus, it was the junior pacing all players in kills with 13 to pair with three digs and two blocks before adding another 12 kills at a .556 clip in a sweep of York.
Adams' impressive weekend totals brought her season averages up to 3.70 kills per set with a .391 hitting percentage, which rank first and second in the conference. The junior's hitting percentage also ranks 16
th in all of Division III and is the second highest average among outside hitters.
The Blue Jays are back in action Wednesday, Oct. to face off against Gettysburg in a rematch of last year's Centennial Conference Championship match, with first serve set for 7 p.m.
