BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins women's swim team posted four top-three finishes and picked up 681 points on day one of the Loyola H20unds Invitational.
Hopkins opened the night with a runner-up finish in the 200 Medley Relay and an NCAA B qualifying time.
Jaya Veerapaneni,
Michelle Liu,
Kennedy Lee and
Elizabeth Cohen swam a 1:43.78 to take second by nearly one second. The team of
Kimberly Lan,
Taylor Rohovit,
Kate Petitt and
Anna Miler took fourth place with a time of 1:44.92.
Meg Susil followed with a second-place finish in the A Final of the 500 Free as she clocked in at 5:01.44.
Melissa Er took fourth place in 5:03.44 and
Julia Tuinman placed seventh in 5:07.74. Rohovit led the Blue Jays in the 200 IM as she clocked in at 2:07.03 for third place in the A Final.
Nyah Stahl finished in seventh place with a swim of 2:08.24 and
Rachel Davis placed ninth in 2:10.28.
Katherine Chelus won the B Final as she touched in 2:10.03.
Miler turned in a swim of 24.01 to finish in sixth place in the A Final of the 50 Free. Veerapaneni finished in ninth place with a time of 24.34. Cohen took second place in the B Final with a time of 23.91, just one-hundredth of a second out of first.
Hopkins ended the night with second and fourth place finishes in the 800 Free Relay. Liu, Er, Susil and Rohovit turned in a swim of 7:39.60. Lee,

Alex Watson and Tuinman finished in fourth place with a time of 7:45.40.
The H20unds Invitational continues Saturday, November 23 at 10:00 am. The prelim of the 100 Fly is the first event of the day.
