ALLENTOWN, PA – The Johns Hopkins women's team picked up a pair of wins on Saturday as the Blue Jays opened their spring slate. Hopkins opened the day with a 9-0 win at Muhlenberg in both team's Centennial Conference opener. JHU then rallied to beat host Lehigh, 4-3, Saturday night.
The Blue Jays grabbed an early 3-0 over the Mules as they lost just one game in a doubles sweep. Junior

Audrey Wijono put Hopkins on top with an 8-0 win over Caitlin Bestrycki and Julia Lennon at number two doubles. Juniors
Zoe Hsieh and
Bea Manjon won by the same score over Alexandra Downey and Taylor Current at three. Freshmen
Lia Melvin and
Aubrey Zhou closed out doubles with an 8-1 defeat of Kety Gaidamashvili and Sophia Framm at one.
Hsieh took the first point of singles against the Mules as she beat Bestrycki without losing a game at number three. Zhou then clinched the victory with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Framm at two. Melvin pushed Hopkins' lead to 6-0 when she beat Gaidamashvili 6-1, 6-2 at one. Ausfahl then beat Downey, 8-0, at five. Wijono followed with a 6-0, 6-2 win at four over Lennon. Manjon wrapped up the match when she beat Jordyn Brown, 8-0, at six.
Hopkins then made the short trip to Lehigh for a non-conference contest. The Mountain Hawks swept the doubles matches to take the doubles point and go up 1-0. The Blue Jays then won four of the six singles matches to grab the 4-3 win.

Chang grabbed the first singles match as she beat Gaborik 6-3, 6-4 at number two to tie the match at two. Forkner then put Lehigh back on top with a 6-2, 6-2 win over graduate student
Mary Beth Hurley at one. Anushka Dania pushed the Mountain Hawks lead to 3-1 when she defeated Xiao 6-2, 6-2 at four. Langer sparked the comeback when she beat Megha Dania 6-1, 6-0 at three. Wang then tied the match at three with a come-from-behind win over Letzer 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (2). Wong clinched the victory with a 7-6 (7), 6-3 win over Giselle Vlassis at six.
Hopkins is right back on the court on Sunday, February 18 as the Blue Jay visit the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats. The Centennial Conference contest is slated for an 11:00 am start.
