LANCASTER, PA – The eighth-ranked Johns Hopkins women's tennis team won its 150
th consecutive Centennial Conference regular season match on Sunday with a 9-0 win at Franklin & Marshall. The Blue Jays improve to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference while the Diplomats fall to 0-1.
Hopkins jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a doubles sweep. Freshman

Jay Xiao picked up the first point of the match with an 8-1 win over Lorena Saavedra and Amelia Squires at number two. Freshmen

Sophia Kim secured the doubles sweep when they beat Mackenzie Sherman and Sophia Rhazali, 8-5, at one.
Kim quickly pushed the Blue Jays' lead to 4-0 as she lost just one game in her win at number four singles over Erin Joo. Freshman
Sydney Langer then clinched the win with a shutout win at two over Rhazali. Graduate student
Mary Beth Hurley needed just 13 games to beat Sherman at one. Melvin followed with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Squires at five. Xiao earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory at three over Rebecca Bellick. Zhou finished the match when she defeated Saavedra 6-0, 6-2 at six.
Hopkins returns to action on February 24 as the Blue Jays travel to Lexington, VA to take on Denison and Washington & Lee.
