BALTIMORE, MD – Host Johns Hopkins scored twice in the second half to beat visiting St. Mary's, 2-0, on Wednesday night in non-conference action. The Blue Jays improve to 3-2-0 overall while the Seahawks fall to 1-3-1.
After a scoreless first half in which the Blue Jays outshot the visitors, 9-4, it was graduate student
Francis Meyer the broke the stalemate. St. Mary's was called for a handball and Meyer set up for the free kick 23 yards from goal in the 52
nd minute. He stepped up and blasted the ball just under the crossbar for his first goal of the season.

Aidan Dunphy, who fired a shot from close range. Seahawks' goalie Jordan Eckman got his foot on the ball, but he kicked it right to Pan, who calmly tapped the ball into the open goal.

Loucas Costeas finished with a career-best seven saves, including a kick-save on a one-on-one in the 82
nd minute. Eckman totaled nine saves in the loss for the Seahawks. Hopkins outshot St. Mary's, 17-8, while the Seahawks had a 4-3 edge in corners.
Hopkins returns to action on Saturday, September 14 as the Blue Jays visit Rutgers-Camden. The non-conference contest is scheduled for a 2:00 pm start.
