Career Day for Scales
« Senior PJ Scales enjoyed the finest game of his career in last Saturday's 14-3 win at Christopher Newport.
« Scales had three receptions for 47 yards and scored both Blue Jay touchdowns with a 28-yard reception in the second quarter and a 20-yard catch in the third.
« This was the first two-touchdown game of Scales' career; he previously had one receiving touchdown and one kickoff return for a score in his career.
Schondelmayer Picks Off Another
« The game-turning play in last week's win at CNU was turned in by junior Jack Schondelmayer, who intercepted a pass inside the Captain 30-yard line late in the third quarter that led to Hopkins' insurance touchdown.
« Schondelmayer now has eight tackles and two interceptions on the year. Dating back to last season, he has four interceptions in his last four games.
Against the NJAC
« This week's game will be just the 10th all-time for Johns Hopkins against a current member of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC). The Jays are 7-2 all-time against current NJAC members.
« Three of the nine previous games against NJAC teams came last season in the first of a two-year scheduling agreement between the Centennial Conference and NJAC. JHU topped CNU (20-14), Salisbury (42-7) and Rowan (55-20) in its three games against NJAC teams in 2023.
