LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins men's cross country's Emmanuel Leblond has been named the Centennial Conference Athlete of the Week, as released by the conference this morning. The reigning Centennial Runner of the Year, Leblond earned the accolade twice a season ago with this being his first recognition in 2024.
 
In the Blue Jays' season-opener at the Salisbury Fall Classic, it was the junior leading all runners with a first-place finish after crossing the line in 24:54.4 — the only athlete to finish the 8K in under 25 minutes. Leblond was the first of seven straight Hopkins runners to cross the line in a meet the Blue Jays won with ease, beating out Division I programs such as Seton Hall and Navy.
 
Hopkins and Leblond are back in action Friday, Sept. 20 to compete at the Haverford Main Line Invitational, with races set to begin at 4 p.m.
