LANCASTER, PA – In its first season in the Centennial Conference, Johns Hopkins has been picked to finish second in a preseason poll of the conference's head coaches. The Blue Jays earned three first-place votes and 58 points to come in second.
Swarthmore was picked to finish first in the preseason poll with five first-place votes and 62 points. Gettysburg (51 points), Franklin & Marshall (43 points) and Dickinson (35) round out the top-five. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own team.
Hopkins finished last season with a 4-5 record in dual meets and placed 13
th at the 2025 NCAA Championships. Nine Blue Jays combined to earn 23 All-America honors at last year's championship. Seven of the nine All-Americans are back this season.
Hopkins will open the season on Saturday, October 25 at Gettysburg in a Centennial Conference quad. In addition to Gettysburg, JHU will compete against McDaniel, Washington College and Bryn Mawr. The meet is scheduled for a 12:00 pm start.
