Chang Wins NCAA's Elite Scholar-Athlete Award for Division III Field Hockey

Senior, Majoring in Neuroscience, Has a 4.0 GPA

BALTIMORE, MD – Megan Chang, a senior at Johns Hopkins University, is the recipient of the Elite Scholar-Athlete Award for the 2025 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship.
 
Chang is majoring in neuroscience and has a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average. She was presented with the award during the field hockey banquet on Thursday, November 20 in Hartford, Connecticut, the site of the 2025 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championships.
 
The Elite Scholar-Athlete award recognizes the true essence of student-athletes by honoring the individuals who have reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in their sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among their peers. The Elite Scholar-Athlete award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's championships.
 
Eligible student-athletes are sophomores or above academically who have participated in a sport for at least two years with their school. All ties are broken based on the number of credits completed.
 
Chang has helped lead the second-ranked Blue Jays to a 21-1 record that includes a 20-game winning streak that they will carry into Friday's NCAA Semifinal game against Babson.  She currently leads the team in points (28) and assists (8) and is tied for the team-lead in goals (10).
