YORK, PA – The eighth-ranked Johns Hopkins women's basketball team controlled the paint and clamped down defensively on Saturday afternoon, rolling past York, 59-35, inside Wolf Gym. The win keeps the Blue Jays unbeaten at 6-0.
York opened the afternoon on a 7-2 run, but the Blue Jays showed no panic.

Emily Collins' late bucket sent Hopkins into the first-quarter break with an 11-9 advantage.
The second quarter featured another defensive showcase. After the Spartans knotted the score at 17-17 with 3:46 remaining, Hopkins locked down, holding York scoreless for the final 6:07. The Blue Jays forced three steals—two from
Stephanie Theodossakos and another from

The momentum carried into the third. Hopkins again kept York off the board for the first 2:42 as
Jocelyn Goldstein asserted herself inside to push the lead to 31-17. After a York three briefly halted the Blue Jays' stretch,
Lauren Knudson answered with Hopkins' first triple of the game. The Blue Jays then strung together another defensive stand—holding York scoreless for 3:18—and expanded the margin to 40-20, capped by a Henderson three. Feldman closed the quarter emphatically, scoring the final five points to send Hopkins into the fourth with a commanding 47-24 lead.
With the game well in hand, Hopkins kept control through the final frame, outscoring York 12-11 to seal the 59-35 victory.
Henderson led all scorers with 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting, while Feldman and Collins each pulled down 10 rebounds. Defensively, the Blue Jays were relentless, with six players recording multiple steals; Feldman and
Kendall Dunham paced the group with three apiece.
Hopkins returns to action on Wednesday, December 3, traveling to Washington College for a conference matchup. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. inside Penny J. Fall Gym.
