CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA –
Ken Lee posted the fifth fastest time in Johns Hopkins history in the 200 Back and the Blue Jays turned in seven NCAA B qualifying times on the third and final day of the Cavalier Invitational.
In the first event of the night,
Meg Susil placed seventh in the 1650 Free with an NCAA B time of 17:18.55. Lee then swam a 2:00.31 in the finals of the 200 Back to finish in the sixth place. Their prelim swim of 1:59.02 is the fifth fastest in school history and is an NCAA B time.
Nyah Stahl took eighth place with an NCAA B swim of 2:02.09.
Elizabeth Cohen posted a career-best time of 51.43 to place seventh in the 100 Free. In the 200 Breast,
Michelle Liu placed fourth with a career-best and NCAA B time of 2:18.51.
Rachel Davis took sixth place (2:22.35) and
Katherine Chelus placed seventh (2:30.67).
Kate Petitt finished in fifth place in the 200 Fly with a career-best swim of 2:07.32.
Hopkins then turned in an NCAA B time in the 400 Free Relay as
Melissa Er, Cohen,
Anna Miler and
Jaya Veerapaneni won the race in 3:25.71. The team of Liu,
Taylor Rohovit,
Alex Watson and
Ayden Min took second in 3:28.90. In the time trials, Rohovit turned in an NCAA B time of 1:04.18 in the 100 Breast. Er did the same in the 200 Free with a time of 1:51.59.
JHU returns to action on Saturday, February 22 with the Blue Jay Invitational.
