GREENSBORO, NC – Johns Hopkins earned All-America finishes in two relays and freshman
Ken Lee grabbed individual honors on the third day of the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships. The Blue Jays currently sit in 15
th place with 49 points through three days.
Hopkins opened the third night with a fifth-place finish, 13
th overall, in the consolation final of the 200 Medley Relay. The team of
Jaya Veerpaneni,
Michelle Liu, Lee and
Anna Miler combined for a swim of 1:43.40.
Lee then finished in sixth in the consolation final, 14
th overall, in the 100 Back. She swam a 56.21 in the final while her prelim swim of 55.72 is just six-hundredths of a second off the Johns Hopkins freshman record. She is the first Blue Jay to earn All-America honors in the event since 2022.
The Blue Jays wrapped up the night with an eighth-place finish in the 800 Free Relay. The team of
Melissa Er,
Taylor Rohovit,
Alex Watson and
Julia Tuinman to earn First Team All-America honors. It is the third time in the last four years that JHU has earned First Team All-America honors in the 800 Free Relay.
Liu and Rohovit each earned All-America honors for the second time at the championships and now have 12 and 11 career honors, respectively. Veerapaneni and Lee count three All-America honors in their first championship. Tuinman now has four career All-America honors while Miler and Watson have two each. Er earned her first All-America honor.
The NCAA Championships conclude on Saturday, March 22. The fourth and final day will begin with the prelim of the 100 Free.
