GETTYSBURG, PA – Johns Hopkins wrapped up the regular season with a 7-0 win over Gettysburg on Wednesday afternoon. The Blue Jays win their ninth straight match as they improve to 14-7. The Bullets end their season at 11-12.
Hopkins quickly grabbed a 1-0 lead in the match as the Blue Jays lost just four total games at two and three doubles. JHU completed the doubles' sweep with a win at one.
Pranav Gadiraju and
Andy Zhu earned the first win as they beat Adam Contract and Connor McPartland, 6-2, at three.
Mukundh Boopathi and
Chakor Rajendra won by the same score at two versus Owen Kutlu and JP Damare to clinch the point.
Daniel Ardila and
Marco Azar wrapped up doubles with a 6-4 win over Teo Burgess and Matt Porreca.
Ardila took the first singles match and gave Hopkins a 2-0 lead with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Kutlu at number two.
Jack Wexler followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win at six versus Porreca. Rajendra then clinched the win with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Contract at one.
Brian Yi made it a 5-0 match when he won 6-1, 6-1 versus Burgess at number four.
Joshua Kim then beat Malek Mustafa by the same score at five. Boopathi wrapped up the match and the shutout when he defeated Ben O'Connor-Skloot 7-5, 6-0 at three.
Hopkins now awaits a possible NCAA at-large berth with the 2025 bracket's announcement on Monday, May 5.
