BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins has been picked to finish third in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Eastern Division in the preseason coaches' poll. Newcomers to the MPSF, the Blue Jays earned 46 points in the poll.
Defending champion Augustana is the preseason favorite as the Vikings garnered 62 points. Austin College was picked to finish second with 50 points, followed by Hopkins and Penn State Behrend. Connecticut College, Washington & Jefferson and Wheaton College round out the poll.
Hopkins is set to open the season on Saturday, September 6 versus Gannon at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational. Hopkins and head coach
Max Schlegel returns 10 players that notched at least 22 points a year ago. In total, the Blue Jays return more than 78 percent of their goals and 85 percent of their assists. Hopkins boasts five players that have earned All-America honors in their career and welcome six newcomers.
Stanford will host the 2025 MPSF Championship November 21-23.
